Julianna Money is a tender heart with a gift for poignant lyricism that often plays the line between heartbreak and humor. A childhood poet who later took up songs, she evokes some of the deeper truths of life through her starkly honest songwriting and performing. Julianna was reared in Georgia’s Chattahoochee Valley in a family of singers and musicians; she grew up singing with and learning from her mother and siblings and eventually set forth on her own musical odyssey. Inspired by old country, folk, and soul, her music is tied to the rich musical history of her hometown. Her first EP, “Nickels and Dimes,” was recorded there and released in October of 2019. That same year, Julianna had the opportunity to compete in Atlanta’s venerable Eddie’s Attic songwriter competition and the Tin Roof Atlanta songwriter competition, making the final round in both and winning second runner up at Tin Roof. Her newest body of work, “In the Valley”, takes us on a transcendent quest through loneliness, longing, and love as she explores our relationships with the idea of home and existence itself. You can find “In the Valley” on streaming platforms everywhere November 12, 2020.
